Christmas Vacation (Part 2)

Well, here's the rest of the pics from our stay in Buckeye.  We had a good time -- the girls hung out with cousins all week, and I got to hang out with my sisters and brother.  We also spent one night with my sister, Sandy, at her house and got to see her family, and her oldest who just got off his mission in December. It was a great time.  We ended up staying an extra day because of all the snow we got back home: our traveling route required chains to get across, so we happily stayed another day in Buckeye till Sunday afternoon when we finally left for home, and the roads were mostly clear.  And amazingly enough, the roads are still covered in snow out here; it's slowly, slowly melting, but mostly still there.

So, here's some pics from our visit:

Grandma reading to all the kids -- there's even a neighbor kid thrown in there, too!

These next 4 pictures were taken on a walk down the road with the cousins:

 Looking at cows
 Lori with the kids
 Me and Lissy

Lori with Lissy and her youngest, Tate.  I just fell in love with Tate, by the way... He was so cute, and cuddly, and he was shy with the other aunts and uncles and didn't want to be held by them, but he would let me hold him and even cuddle with me, so of course that melted my heart.  In this picture, Lori was recording Lissy singing with her phone -- she sang "Mary Had a Little Lamb".

Tate laughing with the other kids (not shown).

 Tate and West

Lissy with her bangs newly cut.  I ended up cutting more for her, because she still had hair flopping in her eyes.
 Alayna and Lissy

At Sandy's house: Heather reading to the kids.  We LOVE Heather -- she's always SO nice to everyone :)

And lastly, here's a short video of my brother, Dave, playing "Hall Monster" with all the nieces and nephews.  "Hall Monster" is a game we played as kids: someone hides in one of the rooms off the hallway, and the others go looking for the 'monster', then when found the 'monster' chases the kids all the way to the couch in the livingroom. Fun fun. Kept us occupied for hours :)

This lasted 3-4 rounds till the adults in the house couldn't take the noise anymore...

Now, we're home and back to school, and back to normal-ness for the most part.  Except for the excessive snow everywhere that refuses to melt.  It's pretty, though, and sparkles in the sun, but I'm ready for it to melt away, so we can get back to normal driving conditions.  Anyway, that pretty much brings us up to date!

  1. Fun! Wish my family lived closer to us. In the picture of Lissy and Alayna, she really looks like Kira to me.
